This mental health leaflet aims to explain the symptoms of Postpartum Depression and to describe the care and treatment available.

This mental health leaflet is for:

• partners, friends and relatives of women with Postnatal Depression (PND) who provide continuing help and support
• psychiatrists and other members of the mental health team involved in the care and treatment of women with PND.

The checklists at the end are tools to help families and health professionals communicate and work in partnership.
